Hume-Fogg defeated Anderson County after 110 minutes of play and fourteen shoot out kickers in the A-AA Girls State Soccer Tournament. Shelby Poore of Anderson County scored early in the first half from a well placed shot outside of the penalty box. Anderson County was able to remain in the lead until the 56th minute of play when Anne Passino placed the ball in the corner of the net from a free kick. Shelby Poore was able to find the back of the net from a free kick outside of the penalty box in the 65th minute to put the Mavericks ahead, once again. The momentum quickly shifted when Megan Edwards scored in the 67th minute from a perfectly placed ball from Aline Bernard. After thirty minutes of additional play and ten shoot out kickers the game was still tied. Both teams made the first goals in the sudden death shoot out, but Emma Carmak of Hume-Fogg made the final goal after a miss from Anderson County to give Hume-Fogg the victory. Hume-Fogg will face Ridgeway in the Finals on Saturday at 7:00 PM at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga

Ridgeway comes from behind to defeat Chattanooga Christian 4-3 in the A-AA Girls State Soccer Tournament. Raneika Bean from Chattanooga Christian scored early in the game with an assist by Ashley Harbert to give Chattanooga Christian the lead. Geniel Newborn of Ridgeway quickly scored to tie the game in the 8th minute of play. Chattanooga Christian continued the pressure and Raneika Bean was able to find the back of the net again in the 14th minute of play. Ridgeway was able to tie the game before the end of the half with a score by Megan Mattei. Chattanooga Christian entered the second half with determination as Melissa George scored five minutes into the second half. Chattanooga Christian was able to hold the lead until the 78th minute of play when Geniel Newborn scored to tie the game. At the end of regulation the score was tied 3-3. Both teams continued the pressure during the overtime, but Ridgeways Geniel Newborn broke away at the 93rd minute and blasted the ball from the right side of the field outside the penalty box to give the Roadrunners the lead and the victory. Ridgeway will face Hume-Fogg at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga at 7:00 PM

Ridgeway defeated Hume-Fogg 1-0 in the AAA Girls State Soccer Tournament. At the end of the first half, the game remained scoreless. Both teams played aggressively throughout the game, but neither team could find the back of the net. Hume-Foggs defense was able to stop Ridgeway who had 27 shots on goal. After 110 minutes of play the game was still scoreless. Ridgeway made their first three penalty shots while Hume-Fogg missed all three of theirs. After penalty kicks, Ridgeway was victorious and champion of the A-AA Girls State Soccer Tournament.
