Harpeth Hall defeats GPS in the Division II Semi-Finals
The GPS Bruisers and the Harpeth Hall Honeybears kicked off the Girls State Soccer Championships at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga. The game was evenly matched until the 70th minute when Susan McGugin passed the ball to the left of the keeper to put the Honeybears ahead. GPS created a few offensive chances at the end of the game but could not beat the Harpeth Hall defense. Harpeth Hall will face Baylor on Friday night at Finley Stadium.

Baylor defeats BGA in the Division II Semi-Finals
Baylor defeated BGA 2-0 in the Division II Semi-Finals match on Thursday. Baylor’s Ellen Mohney pounded the first goal into the net in the 36th minute of play. BGA played aggressively, but they could not find the back of the net. Finally, Allison Mitchell scored the second goal in the 78th minute of play to seal the victory for Baylor. Baylor will face Harpeth Hall on Friday night for the State Championship.
