Minutes of March 18, 2004 Board of Control Meeting

 

Murfreesboro, Tennessee

 

 

  1. Approved minutes of last meeting.
  2. Re-elected Mike Reed as President

             Re-elected Fred Kessler as Vice President

  1. Approved financial report of the 2003 football playoffs.
  2. Approved financial report of the 2003-2004 bowling tournament series.
  3. Approved financial report of the 2003 cheer and dance championships.
  4. Approved financial report of the 2003 golf tournament series
  5. Heard a report concerning the Hall of Champions games played in November 2004.
  6. Heard a report on catastrophic insurance for the 2004-2005 school year.  Approved same plan regarding insurance as in 2003-2004.
  7. Approved the following in volleyball:
    1. Approved the playing of two-of-three rally scoring (25-25-25) in triangular matches and invitational tournaments.
    2. Approved use of libero play in regular season matches and invitational tournaments by mutual agreement of both coaches.
  8. Tabled vote on membership of Ensworth School until June Board meeting.
  9. Approved membership of Independence High School beginning with 2004-2005 school year.
  10. Tabled vote on minimum standards to host district volleyball tournaments until June Board meeting.
  11. Approved that schools in the TMSAA play regular season tournament volleyball matches 2-of-3 games.  Games will be played to 25 points with the third game played to 15 points.  The format will be rally scoring for all games and each game must be won by 2 points.
  12. Approved pre-game warm-ups and spirit rules for cheerleaders during TMSAA basketball games.
  13. Approved Arlington High School for membership beginning with the 2004-2005 school year.
