those meetings will be presented to the Board.
11. Finance Committee
The Finance Committee is appointed each year to deal with
all areas involving finances of the association to serve in the capacity of
making any recommendations to the entire Board for their action.
12. Classification for Golf for 2001-2002
There are three
options:
(1) Go to four classifications (A, AA, AAA, Division II) and
four golf tournaments with same numbers qualifying from regions. The problems are that this will increase
expenses another $8,000 to $10,000 and four weeks of state golf
tournaments. This is difficult because
of weather and getting golf tournaments and costs.
(2) Go to four classifications, cut back on numbers qualifying
so we have two weeks of tournaments.
This would primarily be felt on the negative side by AAA since we would
decrease their numbers by 50% in order to add two tournaments in A and AA.
(3) Remain with three classifications (AAA, A-AA, Division II),
three tournaments and go to nine regions in A-AA by making Region 7 into two
regions and qualifying winning team and top three individuals from each
region. Presently, we qualify winning
team and top four individuals.
