In January, the Division II Committee requested that the Board of Control discuss rotating the order in which our state championships are played in Division I and Division II to minimize the number of days that students miss school. The Board instructed the staff to meet with members of the Division II Committee and study this request. An update will be given to Board members.

  12. Memphis University School Requests Change in 2011 First Official Football Practice Date
    Memphis University School is requesting the Board change the first official practice date for football from Monday, August 1, to Monday, July 25, 2011. The rationale stated in the request is that the change would give those schools that play zero week the opportunity to practice for four weeks instead of three.


  13. Trezevant High School Appeals Sanctions Placed on Football Team and Athletic Program


  14. Bowie Reading and Learning Center Requests Membership in TSSAA
    Bowie Reading and Learning Center is a category 3, SACS accredited private school located in Memphis. They presently have 50 students and have requested to participate in Division II. If approved, they will be placed in Division II, Class A.
