Clarksville Academy’s administration
has asked the TSSAA Board of Control to consider moving the first official
date of practice for football in 2010-11 to July 26 or 28. This
would allow teams to practice for three weeks before zero week or four
weeks prior to week #1. Currently, the TSSAA calendar calls for
practice for fall sports to begin on August 2 (Monday the week of August
1).
Hendersonville High School is requesting
that girls’ soccer be allowed to begin the season one week earlier
in 2010. The TSSAA calendar calls for fall sports to begin practice
on Monday, the week of August 1. That date this year is Monday,
August 2.
A proposal from the DII Committee
requesting that DII AA schools be allowed to play a 6-3 format instead
of 5-2.
