    6. The Board discussed at the January meeting the dilemma we are facing in regard to catastrophic insurance due to the increase in premium as a result of the three paralyzed athletes and the increase in claims. A questionnaire was sent to all schools. The total results will be shared with the Board at the meeting.

    The Board needs to make a decision regarding the catastrophic insurance plans for 2000-2001.

  6. Division II Football Championship Format

The staff will present to the Board the possibilities for the Division II football championships. The staff has met with the NAJCC concerning the possibilities of their co-sponsoring the event and also has met with the Division II Committee concerning the possibilities. The recommendations of both groups will be presented to the Board.

    2. The Board needs to begin the process of classification, which will take place in the fall of 2000 for the 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 school years.

  2. TSSAA ID Cards

    3. The Board of Control needs, either at this meeting or the June meeting, to determine the plans for 2000-2001 in terms of the TACA cards and TSSAA ID cards.

  3. Bearden High School Requests Change in the Format for the Girls’ and Boys’ State Basketball Tournament.
  4. Bearden High School Requests Elimination of Sectional Tournaments and Reinstitution of the Sub-State Basketball Tournaments
