Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association member schools will begin their football Play-Off series the second weekend in November. Play-off games are to be played each week, up until the BlueCross Bowl state championships games. The Division II BlueCross Bowl games are to be played November 24th at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro. The Division I BlueCross Bowl games are set for December 7 (Class 1A and 2A) and December 8 (Class 3A, 4A, and 5A) at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro.
All Play-Off games prior to the Division I and Division II BlueCross Bowl are to begin at 7 p.m., local time.
Game directors of each game shall be the principals of the host schools. Members of the media should directly contact game directors for credentials thorough the semifinal round. None will be available through the TSSAA office.
Permission to broadcast games and credentials to gain game access must be secured from the game director. In case more stations request permission to broadcast than can be accommodated, radio stations from the two communities involved in the play-off games shall be given first consideration. Stations then will be given permission to broadcast in the order of requests received.
Credentials for members of the electronic print media must also be secured through the game director. Daily newspapers covering play-off games shall be given credentials for working press and photographers. Television stations shall be given credentials for reporters and photographers. Only the weekly newspapers from the areas representing the communities of the participating teams will have their credentials requests honored, and this number is limited to two per newspaper.
Division II BlueCross Bowl state championship games are to begin on November 24 at 3:30 p.m. (CST) (Class A) and 7:00 p.m. (CST) (Class AA). Division I BlueCross Bowl Class 1A and 2A championship games are to start at 3:30 p.m. (CST) and 7 p.m. (CST), respectively on December 7. Kickoff for the Class 3A championship game is noon (CST), followed by the 4A game at 3:30 p.m. (CST) and 5A game at 7 p.m. (CST) on December 8.
