ANYONE CARRYING A TOURNAMENT PASS (NOT ON PASS LIST) WILL ONLY BE ADMITTED AT THE GENERAL ADMISSION GATE UPSTAIRS. Cheerleaders in uniform will be admitted to any session and should enter at the player’s pass gate at the lower north entrance. Each team is limited to 12 cheerleaders.

LOCKER ROOMS - A locker room or classroom will be available for your team. In the event you are assigned a classroom, we will make showers available to you. Please do not leave valuables in the locker room or classroom !!!!

COACHES’ PACKETS - The coach of participating teams may pick up their team packet at their first session site (Murphy Center Gymnasium or Blackman High School) on Wednesday morning.

PRE-MATCH PREPARATION - There will be a gym available to you for warming up and stretching. Teams will need to bring their own warm-up balls. Practice and warm-up on the upper track level of Murphy Center will be prohibited.

MATCH INFORMATION - A tournament squad shall be limited to 14 girls. A total of 14 chairs will be allowed and a team is limited to 14 people on its bench. A team may not have additional players dressed in uniforms and have them wear T-shirts or warm-ups over the uniform. A total of 20 people are allowed which includes six players on the court and 14 people (coaches, managers, remaining players) in chairs. For the purpose of coin toss and scoreboard designation, the top team or first team listed in each bracket will be the home team. There shall be no practice at the state tournament site for teams entering the state tournament.

DIVISION I TOURNAMENT FORMAT - After pool play, the top two teams in each pool shall advance to a single elimination bracket. The bracket shall be: 1st Pool 1 vs. 2nd Pool 2; 1st Pool 2 vs. 2nd Pool 1.

The team in each pool with the best record after pool play shall be declared 1st place. After 1st place has been determined, the team with the next best record in each pool shall be declared 2nd place.

If two or more teams are tied for 1st or 2nd place, the following tie-breaking procedures shall be applied to determine 1st and 2nd place in each pool. If at any point in the tie-breaking procedure, one team has beaten all other teams tied for that position, that team shall be rated above the others:

  1. Head to Head
  2. The team with the greatest number of games won.
  3. Point Differential. If there is a three way tie for 1st place, once the 1st place team has been determined, the two remaining teams shall play one 25 point playoff game. The winner of the playoff game shall be declared the 2nd place team and shall advance to the single elimination tournament. If there is a three way tie for 2nd place, then the two teams with the fewest points would play one 25 point playoff game. The winner would then play the remaining team with the most points in one 25 point playoff game. The winner of this playoff game shall be declared the 2nd place team and shall advance to the single elimination tournament.

DIVISION II TOURNAMENT FORMAT - In Division II, there are two classifications: Class A and Class AA. In both classifications, there will be a four team double elimination tournament as follows:
